About Chelsea

I am a naturally friendly and charismatic person and love making learning more fun and engaging, but overall, I am a versatile tutor and able to adapt quickly based on who I am tutoring and what their needs are. I have always enjoyed teaching and inspiring young people. As a child, I admired my teachers and they were such huge role models in my life. I always aspired to be someone who could make such a positive impact on another young person’s life, just like they did to mine!

About the lesson

With a background of facilitation of young carers and children with disabilities, I have 4 years of experience working with young people. My approach is mainly through building a strong rapport to be able to adapt to what you need and how you learn. At Explore Learning, I tutored a variety of different ages and levels. Depending on the person, I would utilise more interactive styles, visual learning, modelling and prompting to support learners. As a manager, I learnt a lot about individual needs when it came to SEN and how to support those children with their learning. My lessons are for children aged 4-11. These lessons can be for Maths or English, and for younger years/levels, the English lessons will include Phonics and learning to read. For the older ages/higher levels, I can support with SATs prep. One session is one hour.
