About Annette

- What kind of experience do you have? I’m a fully qualified singing instructor with professional qualifications in teaching singing and working with adolescent voices. I’ve been teaching across the world for over ten years. I’m also a very experienced musical director, musical theatre performer and pro singer. I teach contemporary pop styles and musical theatre. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? Yes, my Basic DBS certificate is up to date. - Where and with whom did you train? I’ve completed Function Training with Industry leading contemporary vocal coach Chris Johnson of The Naked Vocalist. I have also completed professional qualifications in teaching singing with The Voice College and achieved high level Diploma in Teaching Contemporary Voice and also a Certificate in Teaching Singing To Children. I have also completed multi continual professional development courses in vocal acoustics and voice techniques. I am ABRSM Grade 8 qualified. - Do you belong to any professional organisations? I am a member of BAST, The Voice College, VIDLA and AOTOS.

About the lesson

Annette is a professional vocal coach, and has worked with recording artists in the UK, and has worked with one of the leading Vocal Coaches Chris Johnson. Singers will get expert voice guidance and instruction to help unlock their true natural voice in a safe way that will aid vocal longevity for those serious about their singing career. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Piano, Singing/Vocal coach and performance coaching. - Tell me about your qualifications. I am a fully qualified voice practitioner and have a Voice College Diploma in Teaching Contemporary Style Singing. I also have a Certificate in Working with Adolescent Voices, so even young singers are in safe hands. I have also trained with one of the world leading professional vocal coaches, Chris Johnson. - How much do you charge? Young Singer lessons (under 18s) are from £25. Adult hourly sessions are £50, please see my website for specific details. Sessions are available Monday - Saturday, and as spaces are limited, Terms and Conditions apply. Sessions must be booked and paid for monthly in advance. I currently teach in person from my home in Shropshire and also via Zoom. - When are you available? I am available Monday - Saturday, day and evening appointments. - Which ages and levels do you teach? I teach adults and children from age 7. There is no pressure to prepare for exams, so if you wish to learn for fun that's fine. - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? Exams can be taken for all grades 1-8 with Rockschool or LCM - Describe your arrangements for online tutoring. ZOOM
