About Norwood
Hi, I'm Norwood! I'm an international recording artist and vocal coach with over 15 years of experience. I'm passionate about helping people improve their singing and speaking voices.
As a BAST certified vocal coach and "Vocal Health First Aider", I teach only the very best, no-nonsense vocal techniques used by professionals and A-List Artists to quickly achieve results in your voice AND protect your vocal folds from damage and fatigue. I rely on the latest research in vocology along with proven vocal methods to help you hear great results.
I pride myself on fostering an encouraging and patient learning environment for students of all genres, genres, and experience levels.

The goal of this type of vocal training is to help transgender and non-binary people tap into their vocal potential and develop a speaking voice that is true to their gender identity and expression. We do this by using vocal techniques from the worlds of vocal science, speech pathology, classical vocal training and more to create a personalized approach for each student.
A person's speaking voice has many components besides pitch (how "high" or "low" their voice is) that contribute to how masculine or feminine their voice sounds to others. We work with each student's current voice at any stage of transition to help achieve a natural, sustainable result.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Norwood has the experience, skills, and expertise to help guide transgender young people on their vocal journey. He prides himself on offering an inclusive and welcoming teaching environment.

My 11-year-old daughter Danielle has made huge strides as a singer since learning with Norwood! We not only rely on him to expand her range and musical interpretation, but also to prepare her for musical theatre auditions. 5 Stars!
Fantastic and worth every penny! Norwood is extremely knowledgeable and has a very engaging teaching style to put one at ease. One lesson got my husband singing in tune after years of always singing flat! He actually enjoyed the session and looked forward to the next! Norwood accomplished AMAZING progress with a man who we all thought just could not sing. We were wrong. He just needed the right teacher.
Wow - Norwood is awesome to work with! In 4 sessions I already feel more confident, and am relaxing more when I sing. He is very efficient, friendly, attentive, and communicates wonderfully. He has an amazing voice himself, and I can tell he is great in and understands all styles, and imagine he would be great with all ages and levels of singers. I specifically wanted to work on my pop sound, and he has had many unique ways of explaining and working my voice to improve that style for me- highly recommended!
