About Justin
I began learning guitar as a child from my mother. I taught myself by immitating the likes of Hendrix, Page, Zappa, Vai, and Frusciante. I took AP music theory in HS as well as Jazz band. I have been learning Sitar with Ustad Shujaat Khan for over 20 years. I performed throughout Miami and Miami Beach, LA up to SF, NY and Beijing.
For vocals, I am more suited for helpng males. I have studied and immitaed Plant, Patton, Cornell as well as the voices of the Avante Guard and World Music.
I recently moved to DC from Beijing where I was contiuing to learn from one of my favorite teachers. I was supporting myself there as a teacher and musician. I’m trained as a Doctor and preparing to take the NCCAOM liscensing exam. I am aware that the origin of the word for Doctor includes the meaning teacher.
I have been a teacher and particularly a guitar instructor most of my life +30 years. I love helping people to learn the basics as well as to discover the deeper secrets of guitar and music.

It is because of my love for music and creating music that I am a very patient and aware music teacher.
Regardless of what your musical goals are I can help you move towards them.
I can transcribe your favorite songs by ear or find the music online and help you master them peice by peice.
