About Ishika
With over 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, I bring genuine passion to every class I teach. As a published fiction author, poet, podcaster, and Toastmaster, I don't just teach communication, I live it every day, and that hands-on relationship with storytelling and public speaking brings real authenticity to my sessions. I've helped many adult learners as well as students build stronger English speaking skills and confidence, whether preparing for interviews, speaking up at work, or simply expressing themselves with ease. My goal is to create a warm, judgment-free space where you feel comfortable practicing, making mistakes, and growing at your own pace, because for me, teaching isn't just a profession, it's a passion.

With 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, I specialize in training adults to speak English confidently and develop stronger personal and professional presence. My approach is practical, interactive, and focused on real-world application rather than just theory.
Teaching Techniques & Methods
- Communicative language teaching: Focus on speaking and listening from day one, not just grammar rules
- Role-plays and real-life simulations (interviews, presentations, meetings, social conversations)
- Peer-to-peer practice and group discussions to build fluency and reduce hesitation
- Video/audio self-review so learners can track their own progress
- Continuous feedback loops, correcting in the moment, not just at the end
Typical Class Structure
1. Warm-up (5–10 min): icebreaker or quick speaking activity to get comfortable
2. Concept/skill focus (15–20 min): a specific topic, fluency, vocabulary, body language, tone, etc.
3. Practice activity (20–25 min): role-play, discussion, or exercise applying the concept
4. Feedback & correction (10 min): individual and group feedback, common mistakes addressed
5. Wrap-up (5 min): key takeaways and a practice task for before the next session
