About Janelle
One of the first successes I remember in school was seeing my teacher pass around to the other teachers my story about a kid who fell into a vat of chocolate at a candy factory and was turned into a candy bar. I was in third grade and for the first time I thought that maybe I was good at something. Turns out, English is my passion.
I am a professional writer who has worked for the American Hospital Association, UTSW, and the Professional Roughstock Series (yes, the rodeo). I've written everything from radio spots to political speeches. But what I really love to do is teach.
Inspiring middle school and high school students to love literature and to improve in writing is where I really shine. If you're discouraged by reading and writing and have had negative experiences in the past, don't worry. I've got you on this.
