Setting tutoring goals helps me structure my students' learning plans and monitor their learning progress. I always make sure the goals that I set are measurable and realistic. It's also important that they're action-oriented, which helps me determine what my tutee would be able to do after achieving a specific goal. I also work with each student to assign a deadline for our learning goals. For example, a good goal could include reviewing all class material before their end-of-year exam.
