About Elina
With over seven years of teaching experience, I have dedicated my career to helping students succeed in Mathematics. Holding a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, I specialize in guiding IB and A-Level students through the challenges of exam preparation. My teaching style is centered on conceptual clarity — ensuring that students truly understand the principles behind each topic. I integrate multiple problem-solving strategies, which encourages creativity and resilience when facing complex questions. Past paper practice is a cornerstone of my approach, helping students become confident with exam conditions. I have a strong background in Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, and I tailor lessons to suit each learner’s pace. I know that math can feel overwhelming, but I strive to make it accessible and engaging. My students often remark on how much more confident they feel after just a few lessons. I see mathematics as both a skill and a playground for ideas. My teaching approach balances strong foundations in Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics with creative exploration through logic puzzles and recreational maths. I also introduce game theory and everyday connections to make the subject lively and practical. Each lesson is personalized to suit the student’s style and strengths. I believe curiosity should drive learning, so I encourage playful exploration. Parents are valued partners in the journey, and I provide them with guidance and feedback. My teaching also draws on the gamer mindset, where challenges are embraced as part of progress. I celebrate mistakes as moments of learning. Confidence grows naturally when students feel safe to explore and experiment. Every question is welcomed, and every achievement is acknowledged. Together, we turn maths from something intimidating into something joyful. The goal is to excel in exams while developing a lifelong appreciation for the subject.
