About Russ
I have a passion for teaching students the concepts of meteorology including general meteorology, environmental and hydrological meteorology to the study of climate science. My approach is to teach in a positive, relaxed environment that is adaptable to all students from beginner to advanced levels. You will see results from your first lesson! I communicate information in an easy to understand way to thousands of viewers every day, and I take this easy to understand teaching style with those I tutor!

As a meteorologist with a bachelor of science degree, along with a mathematics minor, I bring over 25 years of experience in meteorology, climate science, and environmental science. I tutor students using an upbeat and encouraging teaching style that makes learning enjoyable. Students can see results in their performance in as little as one lesson. I adapt my communication style to meet the needs of students who are in high school or enrolled in college. I’m the Chief Meteorologist at the top station in North Dakota and present forecasts daily for over 250,000 viewers on television and social media platforms. I have a passion for sharing my knowledge with those looking to learn about this fascinating subject!
