I'm an experienced middle and high school tutor and college instructor looking for new students to teach. I believe that a positive and respectful relationship between student and teacher is essential for learning to occur. Once this foundation is built, I design lessons to align with the interests of my particular students. For example, when I taught college, I frequently used examples from popular TV shows and movies as examples of class concepts. I believe that it is my responsibility as an educator to show my students that I care about them and about the lesson at hand, and in my experience, this enthusiasm and passion has been the most effective way to earn students' engagement and success.
