About Stephanie
As a psychology graduate and former statistics tutor, I prioritize patience, clarity, and adaptability in every lesson. I understand that many students struggle not because they are incapable, but because they have not yet been taught in a way that works for them. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing confidence, and strengthening their understanding step by step.
I specialize in psychology, introductory statistics, behavioral science statistics, research methods, and academic support. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex concepts, identifying learning barriers, and helping students build both academic skills and confidence. I also incorporate practical examples and collaborative problem-solving to make lessons more engaging and easier to retain.
In addition to my academic background, my experience in trauma-informed advocacy has strengthened my communication, empathy, and ability to work with diverse learners and students experiencing stress or overwhelm. I believe effective teaching should be encouraging, individualized, and empowering.

I hold a BA in Psychology and previously worked as a statistics tutor, where I developed a patient, adaptive, and supportive teaching style centered around helping students truly understand material rather than memorize it. My lessons are designed to reduce anxiety around difficult subjects by breaking concepts down into manageable steps and tailoring explanations to each student’s learning style.
I specialize in psychology, behavioral science statistics, introductory statistics, research methods, and academic writing support.
