About Leia
I am passionate about psychology, therapy and understanding how the brain works. I have experience across a range of roles, including working as a police officer, an SEMH Teaching Assistant and now within the charity sector, which gives me a strong understanding of people and behaviour. In my free time, I enjoy sea swimming, cooking, dancing and reading. I find psychology fascinating and enjoy sharing this passion with others through a relaxed, friendly and empathetic teaching style. I understand how difficult studying and exam periods can be, and I am committed to helping students feel supported, confident and capable during this time.

I provide relaxed, supportive psychology lessons tailored to each student’s learning style, focusing on clear explanations, practical examples and building confidence. Lessons typically last up to one hour. I hold a degree in Forensic Psychology and a Master’s degree in Psychology. While I am new to formal tutoring, I have experience supporting students in educational settings, particularly with SEN and SEMH learners. I am committed to continuous learning, reflection and improving my teaching with every session to provide the best possible support. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level Psychology students aged 14–18, helping with topic understanding, exam preparation, essay writing and improving exam technique.
