About Holly
I graduated with a 2:1 in Psychology, with a focus on child development and neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD and autism.
I worked for two years as a Learning Support Worker for adults with autism, ADHD, epilepsy, Angelman Syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome, as well as dementia and acquired brain injuries. This work was infinitely more valuable to my understanding of the brain and how social and economic influences affect it than my degree, so I urge prospective students to try this line of work.
I then taught as an Assistant English Teacher in Japan for three years. Teaching with the troubles of a language and cultural barrier also taught me a significant amount about psychology and sociology. I also had students with a range of sensory disabilities as well as autism and ADHD there also.
