About Mahima
I’m a recent Psychology graduate with a strong interest in education and supporting young people in achieving their academic goals. Alongside tutoring, I also work as a Learning Mentor in a secondary school, where I support students with their learning, confidence, and overall development. This role has given me valuable experience working closely with young people of different abilities and understanding how to adapt support to meet individual needs.
During my degree, I developed strong knowledge of key psychological theories, research methods, and academic writing skills, which I now use to help students succeed in GCSE Psychology. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. My goal is to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and tailored to help each student reach their full potential.

I take a supportive and student-centred approach to tutoring, adapting lessons to each student’s learning style and needs. I focus on breaking down complex psychological concepts into simple explanations while also helping students improve exam technique, confidence, and revision skills through practice questions and interactive discussion.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and designed to be engaging, structured, and encouraging, creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and learning at their own pace.
My lessons are mainly aimed at GCSE Psychology students (typically ages 14–16) who want support with understanding content, preparing for exams, and improving their grades.
