About Natalie

Hello everyone,
My name is Natalie Khoury and I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Spanish from Louisiana State University. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Psychology in the Sacramento area. I started tutoring fellow classmates and friends my junior year of high school in math such as Algebra 2 and College algebra. Starting my freshmen year of college, I worked with a tutoring business called One-shot Education and tutored students grades 3rd up till college for 3 years. I have a total of 5 years of tutoring experience and tutored about 40-50 students. I also have experience tutoring in person and via zoom as well as students with learning disabilities such as ADHD. I enjoy making a positive impact by displaying positive encouragement, patience, and flexibility towards each student's learning style. It brings me so much joy watching students grow academically and feeling confident in their studies. Under my guidance in the past, students have come to me with C averages to F's and in one-two month's time, the students maintained an A/B average. Every student's learning process and style is different and I am very flexible towards what best fits the student's needs. The areas of subjects that I tutor in are listed below.

Math- (Basic Math, Pre- Algebra, Algebra 1 &2, and College Algebra)(Grades 3rd- college)

Forensic science- (fingerprint analysis, toxicology, biological evidence, ballistics, and analyzing documents and impressions) (Grades 9th-12th)

Spanish- (Beginner/ Intermediate Spanish such as levels 1-3)

About the lesson

My teaching method is by reading each problem and breaking it down to where the student understands what it is asking for. I explain the process step by step to get to the end result. Also, I use a whiteboard to work out the problem out. Depending on the student's preference, I will use different colors to help visualize and separate numbers.
