About Tam

Hello! I'm Tam, I am passionate about psychology and helping others understand it in a way that feels clear, interesting and manageable.

I am a mental health and wellbeing practitioner who works in drug and alcohol services, supporting individuals with complex needs.

My passion for mental health, psychology and helping others has been with me ever since I was young and I am proud to be in a position professionally where I can help others.

My academic knowledge as well as my professional experience means that I am equipped at applying psychological knowledge in professional settings.

I understand that psychology can sometimes feel really overwhelming - especially when you are faced with lots of theories, studies, data, terminology and essay questions and that is why my aim is to make all of this feel less daunting.

I am friendly, patient and approachable, and I can adapt my teaching style depending on your needs/preferences.

About the lesson

I offer friendly and supportive tutoring that is personalised to each individual. With two Forensic Psychology degrees and professional experience as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, I have a strong understanding of both academic psychology and its application to the real world.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, whether you are looking to improve your exam technique, develop dissertation ideas, understand difficult topics, strengthen essay writing, prepare for exams or build confidence in research methods - I am here to help!

I focus on making psychology easier to understand by breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable sections and using practical examples to help remember key concepts. I also work on exam technique, including how to structure answers, apply theories and research, and approach different question types. This includes dissertation support, whether it be proofreading, helping to structure sections or develop methodologies and discussions.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes and can be adapted depending on your goals and level. Whether you are struggling with a particular topic or aiming to push your grades further, we will work together to create a clear and achievable plan.
