About Rachel
Aloha! My name is Rachel Ross and I am a current junior at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, majoring in Psychology and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies with a minor in Spanish language. I have always been a successful student and I hope to add to each student's enjoyment for learning through my tutoring sessions. I truly believe that each student is capable of learning regardless of your current ability. I intend to tailor my lessons to each student and will generally utilize various teaching styles to accommodate different learning styles. This can look like using videos for later review, fact sheets, slide decks, flashcards, mind maps, and more. As long as you find it helpful, I am available for most methods of learning!

My teaching method is based on the content that you're learning in class! As a student, I enjoy practice tests, recall methods, and interacting with the content as these help further your knowledge. If it's your first time learning, I will provide lessons with resource videos, potential readings, and practice with the content.
I intend to work with middle school, high school, and lower division college students in social studies and social sciences such as psychology, women's studies and more! Additionally, I can teach basic Spanish through conversation, writing drills, story-based lessons and more!
