About Aviana

As stated before I am a published author, poet and former teacher. I am currently a college student and would love the oppritunty to work with youth!

I don't believe in standardized worded tests, not everyone is made for those so I prefer different methods of testing knowledge.

Stickers are my favorite method of rewards, I find people of all ages enjoy them.

Part of my lessons are active and hands on, such as; acting out a scene in a book, drawing your favorite character from a story we read, making your own, or even going outside and writing a poem about what you see

Learning should be fun and passionate.

About the lesson

Every child has their own learning method, I like to do a small meet and greet with the child to see how they obtain and comprehend information.

I find active engagement with reinforcing rewards helps children retain what hey are taught. I create all my lesson plans on canvas maintaining sure they are easy to follow long and are colorful to keep their attention. As well as providing fun games and stickers to help encourage focus and motivation

I tend to work with the following grade levels; 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
