About Nahed
Hi, I’m Nahed! I’m a clinical psychologist and published researcher with an academic background spanning UCL, King’s College London and Université Paris Cité.
I completed my BSc in Psychology at UCL before specialising in Affective Disorders at King’s, where I graduated with Distinction and received the Centre for Affective Disorders Prize for outstanding performance. I later completed postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology and Integrative Psychopathology at Université Paris Cité, ranking first in my cohort.
Alongside my studies, I spent two years working in clinical research on depression and have contributed to peer-reviewed research, including work published in Nature Medicine. My wider experience has included work in mood-disorder research, NHS and clinical settings, and support for autistic children and university students. These roles taught me that everyone processes, organises and retains information differently and that the right support can make an enormous difference to someone’s confidence and progress.
Alongside my academic and research experience, I have worked in a range of clinical settings in both France and the UK. I am currently working as a clinical psychologist in the Mood Disorders Unit at Sainte-Anne, within GHU Paris Psychiatry & Neurosciences, a major Paris psychiatric hospital specialising in mental health and neuroscience. My experience here includes work relating to depression and bipolar disorder, as well as individual and group-based psychological care. I previously worked within NHS services in London.
My teaching experience began internationally: I taught English to children aged 4 to 16 in Cambodia and Italian to a mixed-age group in Costa Rica. I later provided long-term, one-to-one academic support. I particularly enjoy taking something that initially feels intimidating, whether it is a statistical analysis, a research paper or a psychological theory, and helping a student reach the point where it finally makes sense.
I speak five languages and have studied and worked across different educational systems, so I also understand the challenges that international and multilingual students may encounter in UK education.
I’m patient, organised and encouraging, while also providing honest and constructive feedback. My aim is not only to help you with your next exam, assignment or research project, but to help you become a more confident and independent learner.

My lessons are personalised around your course, current level and specific academic goals. Whether you are preparing for an A-level examination, struggling with a university module or working on a research project, I will help you understand the material rather than simply memorise it.
In our first lesson, we will identify the areas you would like to improve and create a clear plan together. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and may include a concise explanation of key concepts, real research examples, diagrams, guided practice, exam-style questions and feedback on your reasoning or written work.
I can support you with:
A-level, undergraduate and Master’s-level psychology
Clinical psychology, psychopathology and mood disorders
Research design and developing research questions
Quantitative and qualitative research methods
Understanding statistics and interpreting SPSS output
Choosing appropriate analyses, including t-tests, correlations, regression and ANOVA
Reading and critically evaluating academic papers
Literature reviews and APA 7 academic writing
Dissertation planning, methodology and results interpretation
Presentations and academic confidence
For research and dissertation students, I can help you refine your question, evaluate the literature, select an appropriate methodology, understand your findings and communicate them clearly. My role is to guide you through the process and strengthen your own academic skills; I will not complete assessed work on your behalf.
I hold psychology degrees from UCL, King’s College London and Université Paris Cité. I graduated from UCL and King’s with Distinction, received the Centre for Affective Disorders Prize for outstanding performance and have contributed to research published in peer-reviewed academic journals. I also have two years of professional clinical research experience.
My approach is patient, encouraging and collaborative. Complex ideas will be broken down into clear, manageable steps, and I will adapt the pace and teaching methods to the way you learn best. As a multilingual tutor who has studied in both the UK and France, I am also particularly well placed to support international students adjusting to English-language university study.
Lessons are suitable for A-level students, psychology undergraduates, Master’s students and learners from related social-science or health disciplines who need support with research methods.
I warmly welcome autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent learners. I have provided long-term, one-to-one academic support to autistic students throughout their Bachelor’s degree in psychology, helping them organise their workload, understand course material and maintain consistent progress through to completion. Depending on your preferences, our lessons can include a predictable structure, clear written goals, manageable steps, regular check-ins, repetition and positive reinforcement. I will work collaboratively with you to identify what helps you learn best, without making assumptions about your individual needs.
