About Tashreque Mohammed
I am a casual academic and data scientist with a strong academic and professional background in Python, data science, machine learning, and statistics. I have several years of experience supporting university students through coursework, exams, and technical projects, and I am committed to delivering clear, high-quality teaching in every lesson. I hold a Master’s degree in Data Science and have taught and supported university-level subjects in programming and statistical machine learning. Alongside teaching, I have worked professionally as a data scientist and software engineer, applying machine learning, statistical analysis, and software development techniques to real-world problems. I also have research experience in machine learning and signal processing, with peer-reviewed publications. I take my role as a tutor seriously and aim to create a professional, respectful, and supportive learning environment. I am well-prepared for each session, punctual, and attentive to individual learning needs. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to build confidence and long-term understanding. My tutoring approach is structured, clear, and student-focused. I begin each lesson by understanding the student’s level, goals, and specific difficulties, then break concepts down into simple, logical steps. I focus on building strong fundamentals, explaining ideas clearly, and helping students develop confidence in their own problem-solving skills.
Lessons are practical and interactive, especially for Python, data science, machine learning, and statistics. This includes working through examples together, explaining code line-by-line, and addressing common mistakes. I prioritise understanding over memorisation.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, with flexibility for longer sessions when needed, such as exam preparation or project support. Lessons are conducted online and tailored to each student’s pace.
I have university teaching experience and hold a Master’s degree in Data Science, with additional professional experience as a data scientist and software engineer. I have supported undergraduate and postgraduate students across a range of technical subjects.
My lessons are suitable for university students, beginners, advanced learners, and professionals looking to strengthen their skills or understanding.
