About Zara

Hello, my name is Zara, and I am a qualified Adult Nurse with over 20 years of experience working within the NHS. Throughout my career, I have specialised in Accident & Emergency nursing, trauma care, Orthopaedics and spinal injuries, caring for patients in some of the most challenging and fast-paced clinical environments.

I am passionate about supporting the next generation of nurses and healthcare professionals. Having worked alongside student nurses, newly qualified staff, and multidisciplinary teams throughout my career, I understand both the rewards and challenges of nursing education. I know that studying nursing can sometimes feel overwhelming, and my aim is to make learning more approachable, engaging, and relevant to real clinical practice.

My extensive frontline experience allows me to bring nursing theory to life through practical examples and real-world insights. I enjoy helping students develop their knowledge, critical thinking skills, and confidence, whether they are preparing for exams, assignments, clinical placements, interviews, or professional development.

I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and supportive. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching to suit individual needs and learning styles. My goal is not only to help students achieve academic success but also to develop the confidence and professional understanding needed for a successful career in healthcare.

About the lesson

As a qualified Adult Nurse with 20 years of clinical experience in Accident & Emergency, trauma care, Orthopaedics, and spinal injury nursing, I offer supportive and engaging online nursing tuition tailored to each student's individual needs.

My teaching approach is student-centred, combining clinical knowledge with real-world experience to help learners build both confidence and competence. I believe that understanding the "why" behind nursing practice is just as important as memorising facts, so I use a variety of teaching techniques including case studies, scenario-based learning and discussion. Lessons are adapted to suit different learning styles and academic goals.

Typical lessons last 60 minutes. During each lesson, we will review key concepts, address any areas of difficulty, and work through practical examples to reinforce learning.

Alongside my nursing qualifications, I have extensive experience supporting students, newly qualified nurses, and healthcare professionals in developing their clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills. My frontline experience in emergency, trauma, and spinal care enables me to bring nursing theory to life with relevant clinical examples.
