About AKOMANING-AMOH
I am a friendly, professional and highly trained educator, I am passionate about teaching and have an innate ability to provide high quality learning experience for a diverse range of learners. I have worked as a primary teacher in the UK for 15 years, taking up various roles such as SCITT and NQT mentor, year group and subject lead, as well as senior leadership roles.
I hold a PhD degree in Education (2018). I am also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Early Years and Primary (2005). I obtained a 2:1 honours degree in Sociology in 2001.

My educational philosophy is that all students can learn if accepted for who they are, no matter where they are in their educational journey. Thus, ethnicity, socio-economic background, disability or any other extenuating circumstances, should not be a barrier to learning. I believe that all students are capable of learning and reaching their full potential, although every student is different and each generation has its unique approach to learning. My teaching methodology is student centred, inclusive, collaborative as well as a coaching approach.
