About Caroline
Hi! I'm Caroline, a qualified elementary teacher with a Master's degree in Reading Education and a genuine passion for helping children become confident, capable learners. I have experience teaching in the classroom and supporting children with literacy and reading development. I'm friendly, patient, and approachable, and I believe learning should feel encouraging rather than intimidating. I take the time to get to know each student and understand how they learn best, adapting my lessons to their individual needs and interests. Whether your child needs extra support with reading, English, homework, or simply a little more confidence, I'm here to create a positive and supportive environment where they can make progress and enjoy learning along the way!

I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, supported, and confident in their abilities. As a qualified elementary teacher with a Master's in Reading Education, I use a patient, encouraging approach that is tailored to each child's individual needs, interests, and learning style. My lessons are interactive and engaging rather than simply working through worksheets. I use a combination of guided practice, discussion, reading activities, games, and targeted exercises to help children understand new concepts and build skills they can use independently. For reading, I can support children with phonics, vocabulary, reading fluency, comprehension, and developing a love of reading. A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in or review of previous learning, followed by focused instruction and guided practice. We then work together on activities designed around the child's goals before finishing with independent practice and a short recap of what we have learned. I have experience teaching and supporting elementary-aged children in the classroom and through literacy-focused roles, and I particularly enjoy helping children who may need a little extra encouragement or confidence in their learning. Lessons are intended primarily for children in elementary/primary school, approximately ages 4–12, who would benefit from additional support with reading, English, homework, or general academic skills. Whether a child needs help catching up, wants to strengthen existing skills, or simply needs a supportive learning environment, I aim to make every lesson productive, positive, and enjoyable.
