About Amy

Experienced maths educator, with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), specialising in online teaching, confidence‑building, and supportive, learner‑centred practice.

Over my career, I have worked with school‑age children, college students, and anxious adult learners to rebuild confidence in maths. My approach is calm, patient, and highly adaptive: I explain concepts in ways that make sense to your learner, using real‑world problem‑solving and clear, accessible digital resources that reduce overwhelm.

About the lesson

About the Lessons
All sessions take place online, using a shared whiteboard and screen‑sharing so we can work through problems together in real time. My lessons are calm, structured, and fully tailored to your needs, whether that’s:
• reviewing school or college work
• filling gaps and teaching new material
• focused exam preparation
• rebuilding confidence after a difficult experience with maths

You set the pace and the destination; I figure out how to get us there in a way that feels manageable and supportive.

Current Availability
• Tuesday: 7pm - 9pm
• Thursday: 7pm - 9pm
• Friday: 7pm - 9pm
• Sunday: 8pm – 9pm

Perfect! Really helped
My daughter needed some intensive tutoring to halp catch up with GCSEs after an extended period of illness. Amy came through for us and managed to get my daughter out of the pit of despair she was in.

Perfect! Great Tutor
My daughter has had Amy for 3 sessions now for Maths.

I aim to keep my tutoring accessible while still providing high‑quality, confidence‑building support for my learners.

Standard rate: £40 per hour
Concessions: £30 per hour

Reduced rates are available for:
• learners from low‑income households
• students eligible for Free School Meals
• learners with SEN who may need additional support
• apprentices balancing study with work
• adults returning to education, retraining, or currently between jobs
