About Carla

Hi! I’m Carla

I’m a qualified Primary School Teacher, originally from Huesca, Spain, and I’ve been living in London for the past 7 years. I currently teach Year 2 in a London primary school and absolutely love working with children and seeing their confidence grow.

Alongside my teaching career, I offer private tutoring in Spanish and all primary school subjects. I particularly enjoy one-to-one tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to get to know each child, understand how they learn best and tailor lessons specifically to their needs.

I became a teacher because I genuinely enjoy helping children discover that they are capable of more than they sometimes think. Seeing a child finally understand something they have been struggling with, or become confident enough to say “I can do it!”, is one of my favourite parts of teaching.

I believe learning should feel encouraging, engaging and enjoyable, while still helping children make real progress. I’m patient, friendly and adaptable, and I have experience supporting children with SEN and different learning needs.

Whether your child needs extra support with their primary school subjects, wants to build confidence, or would like to learn Spanish, I’d love to help them reach their goals.

¡Hola! I’m Carla, a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in Huesca, Spain, and I’ve been living in London for the past 7 years.

I’m a qualified Primary School Teacher and currently teach Year 2 in a London primary school. Alongside my teaching role, I offer private tutoring for primary-aged children across all subjects, as well as Spanish lessons for children and adults of all levels.

Primary School Tutoring
I can support children with all areas of the primary curriculum, including:
English – reading, writing, spelling, grammar and comprehension
Maths – number skills, problem-solving and building strong foundations
Science and other primary subjects
Homework and schoolwork support
Catch-up support and preparation for school assessments
Building confidence, independence and positive learning habits

Spanish Lessons
Whether you’re starting Spanish from scratch, want to improve your speaking, or would like your child to develop their Spanish, I tailor each lesson to their age, level and goals.

I can help with:

Spanish for children and heritage speakers
️ Spanish for travel and everyday conversation

I also have experience working with children with SEN and different learning needs, and I adapt my teaching style, resources and pace to suit each individual child.

My aim is to make lessons engaging, encouraging and personalised, while helping children develop both their skills and confidence.
