About Gemma
I am a passionate, Qualified Teacher with over six years of classroom experience leading early childhood and primary education. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting hundreds of young learners, building custom phonics and literacy provision, and helping children of all abilities discover a genuine love for learning.

Tailored Approach to Every Child: I specialise in adapting my approach to suit each student's unique personality and learning style. Whether that means breaking down tricky maths concepts into clear, bite-sized steps, boosting reading fluency, or supporting varied learning needs.
Learning shouldn't feel overwhelming. My primary goal in every session is to create a warm and encouraging environment where children feel safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and grow. I focus not just on academic progress, but on instilling the classroom confidence and independence your child needs to thrive.
Whether your child is taking their first steps in phonics or preparing for Key Stage 2 assessments, I am here to guide them with enthusiasm, expertise, and patience every step of the way!

Every child learns differently, which is why my lessons are designed to build confidence, close learning gaps, and make learning enjoyable. As a primary school teacher with over 6 years of classroom experience, I bring deep curriculum knowledge and proven teaching strategies to every session.
Personalised & Child-Centred: I adapt every lesson to your child’s unique pace, interests, and learning style.
Interactive & Engaging: Lessons feature a blend of focused instruction, practical activities, and positive reinforcement to keep children motivated.
I teach, and have experience with, EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
Subjects: Phonics, Early Reading, Primary English, and Primary Mathematics.
Whether your child needs early foundational support, a confidence boost, catching up on key skills, or targeted stretch and challenge, I'm here to help!
The length can vary depending on need and age, from 30 to 60 minute 1:1 sessions. Available online or in-person (subject to local availability).
I offer a free 10-minute phone or video consultation with parents before we begin to discuss your child’s needs and learning goals!
