About Matt
I'm experienced in working with children in different areas! I've done lots of sports coaching (soccer, tennis and rugby) as well as lots of working in schools. I supported children with additional needs for about 6 years and did a degree alongside this to understand how children learn. I also began teaching in primary schools and completed my postgraduate qualification in England last year. I love sport (I'm a keen rugby player) and so wanted to move to Australia! I've been here for six months now, working as a reading teacher and a sports coach.

These lessons are enjoyable and effective teaching which supports reading and comprehension at all levels, particularly for primary school aged children. I can adjust lessons to suit any additional needs, using my previous experience in working with children with autism and other educational needs. Please feel free to ask any questions you have about this.
Lessons typically are 30-40 mins, but I am happy to go to 1 hour if it is effective for the child. My lessons will ensure that children are confident in the basics of literacy and reading to support and inform more advanced work, which we will undertake.
