About Kay

I am a newly graduate, Primary Teacher with a BA Honours in Primary Teaching. I have 3+ years of experience teaching in class, ranging from children ages 4-11. I have 5+ years experience in private tutoring for primary-aged children, primarily in English and Maths. I have a TEFL qualification, so I can further support children who speak English as a second language. I am also DBS certified as I often work in schools. I value professionalism when working with my students, whilst still maintaining a good relation so that my students respect and feel comfortable learning with me.

About the lesson

I offer lessons for any child ranging from 4-11 years in age (primary school level). I also offer support for SATs and 11+ exams. Creating a professional yet friendly bond with my students is key to ensuring they feel comfortable and enjoy learning. When planning my lessons, I first test children on their previous knowledge and identify their weaknesses. Lessons are focused on improving strengths and targeting weaknesses. Many students have achieved greatly due to this method of mine.
