Give Your Child a Head Start in Reading!

With many years of teaching experience and the perspective of a parent, I know the joy and pride that comes from seeing a child learn to read. Strong reading skills lay the foundation for academic success, and I firmly believe that introducing children to reading before they reach school age gives them a significant advantage.

I understand that teaching early literacy at home can be challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone! I am here to support and guide you with expert advice and practical strategies to help your child develop a love for reading.

About the lesson

All lessons will be conducted online in small group sessions, with no more than four children per class. This ensures that each child gets the attention they need during the one-hour session.

If you prefer a one-on-one lesson, this can be arranged for a slightly higher fee.

Lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging because I know how easily young children can get distracted. But don’t worry—you’d be surprised at how much fun reading can be!

This first lesson offered with Debby will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

Details

One-to-One Online Lessons: £15 for a 45-minute session.

Payment: Must be made two weeks in advance. No refunds for missed sessions unless the cancellation is on my part.

Free Teaching Materials: All learning resources will be provided at no extra cost.

Lesson Reviews: A session summary will be sent to parents/guardians after each lesson.

Recommended Frequency: At least two sessions per week, with additional learning support from parents/guardians at home.

Foundation Skills: If a child struggles with recognizing letters or writing, they may need letter recognition and writing classes before moving on to reading. I offer these sessions as well.
