About Sarah

I am a qualified secondary science teacher with a degree in biochemistry. I have tutored for over 10 years, helping students develop their knowledge and skills to gain their desired grades GCSEs and A-Levels, with all of my students gaining confidence.

About the lesson

I offer daytime sessions suitable for homeschooling, for whom I can develop an individualised curriculum, as well as after school sessions to complement school learning.

I use a positive approach to get the most out of students, helping them feel more confident with even the hardest topics. To start with, I will discuss your curriculum, exam board, and the areas you want to focus on the most. When starting new topics, I like to outline the basics and see the current knowledge level, then delve into the areas the student is still unsure of using lots of examples and questions before tackling exam-style questions. Interactive whiteboards online are great to annotate the questions together.

Lessons are typically 30-60 minutes a week, often with homework set to consolidate the learning.
