About Caitlin
Hello, I am a QTS and PGCE qualified and experienced maths teacher. With a masters in Civil Engineering and over 10 years of teaching sailing, teaching maths was a natural progression for me.
Working one to one, or in small groups, gives students even greater opportunities to learn, understand and ask questions. Opportunities that are often lost in a classroom of 30 students. Tutoring can give you the skills and recall that can then transfer into the classroom (and ultimately the exam paper).
Wether you are looking to secure foundational concepts, revision techniques, exam preparation, recall and or understanding - I would love to help you on your path.
Much can be achieved in an hour. Tutoring provides the space to work with you directly, to achieve the results you want to see. With the instability of school and lessons in the last two years (I have taught full time through it - I know!), there are naturally gaps in knowledge. However, online teaching has seen a boom.
There are so many resources at our fingertips now that facilitate online learning and tutoring. Maths can be a funny subject where people love it or hate it. I aim to help you understand it and see your own success to build confidence. I believe everything is easy when you know how. From my experience and with the nature of maths, there are many ways to solve problems to I am here to help you find your way.
