About Lucy

Hi my name is Lucy and I currently work as a Primary school teacher. I am a qualified teacher and have worked with and supported children in their learning for 12 years. I have experience working with children aged 3-11 years. I have a BA Honours degree in Children’s Development and Learning. I can provide support for phonics screening and general support in Literacy and Maths. I have experience teaching children with autism, speech, language and communication needs as well as ADHD.
I will ensure that the lessons are as exciting, motivating and as engaging as possible, to ensure that child enjoys their learning and want to attend the lessons. Lessons are focused on each individual child and I will try, when possible, to include the child’s interests. When children are given the chance to show what they can do, they build resilience and confidence to try new challenges. I strongly believe that all children have the potential to reach and exceed their goals, when they have the time, support and tools to learn. I enjoy teaching and working with children and believe that building strong relationships with both the children and their families is important to a positive learning environment.
My hobbies and interests include, reading, running and dancing. I have danced for a number of years and it still brings so much joy to me. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy cooking and exploring new recipes to try.
A fun fact about me is that I like to travel and have been over 20 different countries, with lots more on the list to explore.

About the lesson

I will learn about how your children (age 3-8) onboard information, to best teach the skills that they need to succeed. I am friendly and want the best for all of my students. My sessions will run for 1 hour.
