About Robert
As a secondary school teacher at a competitive grammar school in London, I have six years of experience teaching Chemistry and Physics to students aged 11-18. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their abilities and achieve their academic goals. My approachable personality and emphasis on hands-on problem-solving activities help me build strong relationships with my tutees, which in turn leads to strong academic progress and self-belief. For example, one of my students went from struggling with Chemistry to earning an A grade, allowing him to study his preferred course at University.

I am a personable and cheerful teacher with several years of experience tutoring students in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Maths, both online and in-person.
I teach Chemistry at KS3, GCSE and A-Level, and Physics at KS3 and GCSE.
While teaching online and in-person are different, my lessons are always an hour long, with roughly the following structure:
# 5-10 minutes spent looking at previous homework
# 10-20 minutes spent establishing new content (or content to revise)
# 25-30 minutes practising and reviewing lesson content
Homework set will take about 30-45 minutes and is designed to address any misunderstandings and strengthen learning!
