About Laurike
I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Labour Relations Management, as well as a Level 5 TEFL certificate. I enjoy helping people learn and build confidence, which is why I love teaching. I believe every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand your goals and adapt my lessons to suit your needs. Whether you are learning Afrikaans for school, work, travel or personal growth, I will support you each step of the way.
Outside of teaching I enjoy baking, reading, and spending time outdoors. I am excited to help you on your Afrikaans learning journey!

Hello! My name is Laurike, and I am a qualified tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Labour Relations Management (cum laude) and a Level 5 TEFL certificate. I have experience teaching Afrikaans online and tutoring learners.
My lessons are personalised to suit your goals, whether you are a complete beginner, preparing for exams, improving your conversational Afrikaans or building your confidence. I create a patient, encouraging, and relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
Together we will focus on speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and pronunciation using practical, engaging lessons. I look forward to helping you achieve your Afrikaans language goals!!
