I am a third-year university student with over five years of tutoring experience across a variety of subjects. My academic background and passion for learning have helped me develop strong skills in explaining challenging concepts in a clear and approachable way.

I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance and support. I create a welcoming and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.

About the lesson

As a Queen's Health Sciences Dean's List student with over five years of tutoring experience, I am passionate about helping students build confidence and truly understand biology rather than simply memorizing facts. I have tutored students in a variety of subjects, including English and the sciences, which has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to each student's unique learning needs.

My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable pieces while connecting key ideas together so you can understand how everything fits into the bigger picture. I also relate concepts to real-world examples whenever possible, making them easier to remember and apply.

A typical lesson begins by identifying the topics you find most challenging. We then work through concepts step by step using clear explanations, practice questions, diagrams, and active discussion to reinforce your understanding. I encourage questions throughout the lesson and adjust the pace to match your learning style.

In addition to one-on-one tutoring, I provide organized notes and study resources for students who want to prepare ahead of class, review material afterward, or strengthen their understanding between sessions.

My lessons are suitable for high school biology students as well as first-year university students looking for extra support with biology and related life science courses.
