About Wajih

Hi, my name is Wajih Malik, and I am a current Year 12 student at Victoria's only specialist science school, John Monash Science School.

In Year 11, I completed VCE Chemistry, achieving a raw study score of 48. This placed me among approximately the top 20 students in the state for Chemistry, equating to the top 0.5% of all students who completed the subject. Alongside this, I also achieved a raw study score of 43 in Mathematical Methods, placing me in the top 2.5% of the state.

Having recently gone through the process of SACs and exam preparation myself, I have developed a strong understanding of the key challenges that many students face throughout their studies. My lessons are personalized and interactive, tailored to each student's individual needs. I focus not only on building a strong understanding of the content, but also on developing the critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to excel in Mathematics and the Sciences.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to help students develop a deep understanding of concepts and the confidence to apply them to unfamiliar problems, rather than simply memorizing content. I tutor both VCE Chemistry and Mathematical Methods where I place a strong emphasis on mastering the skills required for success in some of VCE's most demanding exams. I also work with junior secondary students in Mathematics and the Sciences, helping them build strong foundations well before VCE.

Every lesson is personalized to suit each student's goals and areas for improvement. This includes:

- Planning lesson content ahead of time based on the student's needs and upcoming assessments

- Providing carefully selected practice questions and tailored worksheets to reinforce key concepts

- Focusing heavily on exam preparation for VCE subjects, including exam-style questions, effective exam technique, and detailed feedback to identify weaknesses and improve performance

- Adjusting the pace and lesson duration to ensure students get the support they need

Lessons are available online, in group settings up to a maximum of 4 individuals and in person (depending on region and availability and may incur additional charges)
