About Emma

Hi! My name's Emma and I graduated VCE Year 12 in 2021. Having gone through the process of online school for 2 years, I understand the stresses that the final few years of schooling can bring.

Nonetheless, I loved VCE English the whole way through, and hope to instil some of this enthusiasm in anyone who feels they want to improve their skills and reach their full, English potential, whatever that may be.

This passion or English has meant that I have lots of essential tips and tricks to share that I learnt through my own experiences as a year 11 and 12 student. Having casually tutored girls in younger year levels at my own school in some of my final years, I understand how to communicate ideas and problem solve in a way that ensures every student can receive a personally tailored learning experience.

About the lesson

One on one online lessons as often as needed with a focus on the individual needs of each student.

With a raw 49 study score in VCE English and scaled 100% in all SACs, I can provide and organise personalised notes, lesson plans and practice piece correction for any single text or comparative essay, public speaking and argument analysis (APA).

Having participated in the DAV debating program for over 5 years, I can provide particular expertise in argument development and analysis as well as public speaking. This is a substantial part of the VCE English curriculum.

I am able to provide lessons on any VCE text, however I am particularly well versed in The Penelopiad, The Lieutenant, Frankenstein, Photograph 51 and Wordsworth Poetry. Students who are studying these text will receive extensive material to assist in studying and improving their English skills to the best possible extent.

I am a strong believer in working smarter, not necessarily harder. VCE can be tiring and I get that! Thus, lesson length can be individually arranged to the desired duration of each student as well as whether each session is purely working through skills and technique development or if it will involve contributing an extra work load.
