About Akhil
With a solid foundation of over nine years of experience as a musician and guitarist, my dedication to teaching is rooted in both passion and expertise. As a vocalist/guitarist from the band Sulphur Snow, I bring a personalized and friendly approach to lessons, fostering an environment where students feel not only supported but also inspired to explore and excel in their musical pursuits. Having taught over 250 students in the past 5 years, I am a seasoned instructor whose commitment extends beyond structured lessons – I provide off-lesson support to ensure continuous guidance and assistance. In my teaching approach, I seamlessly integrate the understanding of music theory with practical application, creating a harmonious learning experience. The typical lesson plan consists of two main segments: skill-building and application. During the skill-building phase, we explore essential elements such as rhythm, chords, guitar techniques, theory, fretboard visualization, and scales. This foundational knowledge is then directly applied to songs from a personalized list, enabling students to grasp theoretical concepts and enhance their playing skills in a tangible way. What sets me apart as a tutor is the personalized nature of my lessons, which goes beyond skill-building to include guidance in songwriting and composition. Additionally, I offer off-lesson support, ensuring that students have assistance and guidance even outside the structured lesson times. This added support further contributes to a comprehensive and tailored learning experience. My lessons cater to a diverse audience, from total beginners seeking a solid foundation to aspiring pros aiming for mastery, providing a holistic approach for everyone.
