Teaching methods and technique are for kids and adults: A mix of phonics, sight words, speaking practice, and a popular song to build confidence and rhythm in English. A typical lesson plan: Target level: Beginner Warm up (5 minutes) Greet student: "Hello! How are you today?" Practice simple Q&A: What is your name? How old are you? How do you feel today? Sight words (10 mins) Hello, you, I, me, name, am, is, love Say and spell each word Word matching game or memory cards Read and repeat (10 mins) Hello my name is... Read slowly, have student repeat Practice writing each sentence Music time -"Hello" by Adele (10 mins) Teach Chorus: Hello, it's me Wrap-Up and Review (5 mins) Ask: what word did you learn today? Quick review of sight words, and mini quiz Homework: Write 3 sentences using any of the sight words BONUS: Draw a hello picture and sing the chorus at home.
