About Ruth

I have not given lessons before, but I have aided my classmates in their work and proof read a lot of academic writing. I have also studied a lot of sources and understand how sentences should be formed and to get the most out of your essay.
Although I have little teaching experience, I do have experience in Academia (5 years) and I am able to increase the understanding of theory or sources to fellow students.

About the lesson

Willing to provide easy lessons to those within their undergraduate degree which are struggling with the basic understanding or knowledge of Political Theory for International Relations, specifically such ideology as Neo Realism and Liberalism and Global Governance. Also those studying Politics at GCSE or lower levels who need help in basic understanding and explaining.
I am also available to proof read and correct/advise on any academic writing or essays.
I like to explain things as simply as possible, so that the student is able to understand things easily. In addition I like to chat and make the student feel comfortable and as though they can ask questions or get the answer wrong, without feeling silly. I provide written aid and sources which I feel might help as well!
I struggled throughout University and had to work very very hard! so I understand how difficult it can be to get the higher grades. I averaged mid 60s in my final year (2:1 in my dissertation) and 50s in my Masters.
My Undergrad thesis was on the impact of American Exceptionalism on the Bush administration in the War on Terror. My Masters thesis was assessing American Hegemony in a progressing interpolar world, with the collapse of Neorealism and growth of liberalism.

I prefer to have lessons online (sending an essay or providing literature to aid the student). Rates will be £5ph if this option is chosen. I will thoroughly comb through an essay and provide feedback and suggestions. I will also provide time and date for your reference to amount of time this has taken. I am lenient!
