About Amy

-I recently graduated from UCC with a Bachelor's in Music -I have been playing the accordion for 14 years at a very high standard. -I have learned from various renowned accordion players such as Danny O Mahony and Bobby Gardiner. -I would describe my style of playing as a Kerry/Limerick/Cork/Clare style (it is quite a mix!) -I am a multi-instrumentalist, and I currently play 6 instruments- the accordion, fiddle, flute, tin whistle, kalimba and classical piano. About the lesson

-I am offering Irish button accordion lessons (the tuning of the accordions that I teach must be B/C) -My classes are open to all age groups and abilities- please don't hesitate to reach out if you would like to learn! - If possible when you reach out to me let me know what level you play at (entry level, beginner, intermediate, advanced + how many years you have been playing if applicable), what you hope to learn from the classes/any particular goals you are hoping to meet and a rough idea of when you think you would be able to do the classes! I look forward to hearing from you! *Payments must be made to the tutor at least 12 hours before the lesson is due to begin. If the student fails to pay the class fee before this time frame, the tutor reserves the right to cancel the class, even at short notice. *If the student cancels their classes more than 3 times in one month without fair reason (including any rescheduled classes), the tutor reserves the right to terminate any further lessons with the student. *If lessons are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, there is a cancellation policy in place and you will be charged the full class cost, as that timeslot could have been offered to another student and to compensate for the time spent planning the class.

I met Amy through Superprof. I was a bit nervous getting in contact with a teacher at the start, being a novice at my instrument. When I started my lessons with Amy all that was washed away. She is a wonderful, patient, knowledgeable and highly professional teacher. She is consistent in her approach to the lessons, and even provides specialised practice recordings for the tunes that you work on during lessons. She communicates very clearly any changes to schedules, which happen very seldom. Her wonderful sunny personality makes you feel very welcome and at ease while you make your progress with her during classes. I highly recommend any person who wants to begin, improve or perfect their skill with an instrument to consider approaching Amy.
