About James
I am a PhD graduate in Chemistry from Warwick University, with several years of teaching experience. I offer teaching in Chemistry at GCSE and A-level.
I began teaching in 2022, when I started providing 1 to 1 instruction in scuba diving, helping students understand unfamiliar concepts in a safe and professional manner. I also have taught Chemistry at undergraduate level since 2023.
I completed A-levels in Chemistry, Maths, and Further Maths achieving A*A*A*, after which I studied towards a 1st class Bachelor's degree at Warwick University, before proceeding to my Doctorate.
My teaching approach is tailored to individuals. I will establish a student's level of knowledge and construct a targeted lesson plan to suit them. If there's one thing I've learnt, it's that no two students are the same, and there is no one size fits all approach to teaching. My experience in being a student at all levels, and teaching various disciplines has given me the tools to do this.

I have experience in tutoring, and I also have experience in teaching cohorts Chemistry at undergraduate level, and experience in 1-1 teaching with scuba diving instruction.
I provide 1 hour sessions where I will provide a friendly environment for students, and identify issues with students' understanding of a subject and build up from there.
