About Deanna

My STEM+ background provides me with a solid understanding of both the analytical and creative aspects of learning, allowing me to provide children with English tutoring that is logical but still engaging. I also tailor each lesson to meet the needs of each child because every single student needs different resources to help them succeed. As a student myself, I have compassion and patience for the children and their academic journey.

About the lesson

As a STEM+ student, I believe learning should be fun, engaging and interactive. My teaching methodology revolves around hands-on lessons that are tailor-made to the needs of each child. I take difficult concepts in the child's English curriculum and break them into smaller parts, ensuring the child understands the material and can apply it in real life.
A typical tutoring session would begin with a brief review of the previous session. Next, I would assist the student in their homework or assignments, offering tips and guidance to help them excel. After this, I would move onto the main lesson, where I focus on a new concept or reinforce one. I would then assign an interactive activity based on the lesson to ensure the student understands the concept.
I stand out as a tutor because I can connect with the children and the challenges they may face in their academic career, as I am a student myself. I am not just a tutor, but a mentor for the students and someone who truly cares for them. This is not just a job for me but a way to help children who want to excel in school.
