About AJ
Hi! My name is AJ, and I recently graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. Throughout my time at Yale, I completed extensive academic writing and research across a wide range of disciplines, developing strong skills in critical analysis, argumentation, and revision. I also served as a Writing Partner at Yale's Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning, where I worked one-on-one with students to strengthen essays, research papers, and other academic writing projects. Through this experience, I learned how to tailor my support to each student's individual goals while fostering confidence and independence as a writer. I am patient, reliable, and committed to helping students develop the skills they need to succeed.

Rather than simply correcting mistakes, I help students understand how to strengthen their arguments, organize their ideas, and communicate more effectively. Each session is tailored to the student's goals, whether they need help brainstorming, revising, close reading, or developing stronger analytical skills. I work with middle school, high school, and college students of all experience levels.
