About Lamin

My name is Lamin and I am from South London. People usually have negative things to say about where I come from, but this is not true and I am living proof of that. I wasn’t always the most disciplined when it came to studying for GCSEs, but when it came down to it I made sure I put my head in the books and worked harder than anyone for the result I obtained. One thing I learnt during this experience was that the first step of learning is to be confused. This is why I am here to guide students into understanding the content they are learning because I was also in their position once upon a time.

About the lesson

I am a new tutor, as I have only helped those around me succeed. But now, I want to take my expertise to a new level and help many more. A typical length of a lesson would be 1 hour, but depending on whether the student needs extra support I would be willing to make a lesson longer. My teaching method caters towards the student’s needs, by breaking down hard concepts into simpler, step-by-step methods that make questions easier to complete. As I am teaching at the GCSE level, I am targeting those who are currently studying for their GCSEs, e.g. Year 10-11. However, if a student’s school starts GCSE content in Year 9 I would also take them on and help them get a head start on their peers.

Lamin is a very confident and patient person; he would always put his hand up if he didn’t understand something and was very dedicated towards academics. I recommend Lamin because he would always replicate these qualities in a patient manner when I didn't understand something in a lesson, and he would always make sure others who sought help received his assistance.
