Are you tired of feeling stuck in your progress or wondering why your fingers seem to fumble over basic power chords? Fast, technical improvement comes from breaking down complex strumming patterns into manageable chunks, which is how I structure our time. We will address sight reading and electric technique by integrating my formal music education with your personal musical goals. Sometimes we might pause to discuss the theory behind a specific chord transition to ensure you understand the mechanics involved.
My 13 years of experience allow me to identify exactly where your technique needs a slight adjustment to get you playing smoothly. I prefer to keep the tempo moving while checking in on your comfort levels regularly. This approach ensures you remain engaged without feeling overwhelmed by heavy theory. You will find that my sessions prioritize clear, actionable guidance over rigid, repetitive drills.

Teaching music started for me in a small room where the smell of old wood floors and guitar polish filled the air. My path toward becoming an educator grew out of a desire to see newcomer families find their voices through rhythm and melody.
After earning an MA in Music Education and a TESOL certificate, I realized that technical skill and personal identity must grow hand in hand. My 13 years of experience have shown me that a student who feels affirmed in their heritage learns much faster than one who does not. Providing structure for self-taught players or hobbyists is the core of my teaching philosophy.
I use my academic background to clarify scales, modes, and barre chords while keeping the atmosphere light and encouraging. It is vital that students understand the theory behind their favorite songs instead of just mimicking shapes. Performance-focused students appreciate the way I combine high-level technique with a supportive approach.
