About Sarah
I previously tutored for three years with a reputable London agency before leaving to undertake full-time work. I’ve worked with students at different levels, adapting my approach to suit each individual. I’m especially strong at teaching essay writing and argument-building, helping students find their own voice while still hitting the criteria examiners look for. I’m currently undertaking an MA in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and completed my Undergraduate in English Literature at the University of Southampton

I’m a supportive and approachable tutor specialising in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychology. I love helping students grow in confidence with their reading, writing, and exam technique. Whether it’s unpacking a difficult text, strengthening essay skills, or revising for exams, I focus on breaking things down clearly and making sure students feel equipped to tackle challenges. Most of all, I want my students to enjoy the subject and feel confident expressing their ideas. I encourage curiosity and discussion in lessons, creating space for students to test out their thoughts and develop their interpretations. I also believe in building strong foundations in essay planning and time management so that students can approach assessments with calm and clarity. My aim is not only to support students in achieving their academic goals, but also to help them develop skills in critical thinking and communication that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.
