About Bendang

I am a research student in mathematics. I think one of the reasons why children tend not to enjoy mathematics very much is they don't understand what it is used for. By the time a child is 12 years old they probably think that they know all the math they could ever use, after all, why do you need Pythagoras to do the shopping? They don't understand the role that mathematics plays in the world, they don't know about the amazing discoveries that have led to modern computing, or the engineering (and related math) that goes into creating race cars or rockets. Subjects such as English, Music, and some Science topics have very clear and easy-to-see applications in real life, whereas mathematics tends to not quite be as clear. By showing the children what can be achieved by mathematics they are more likely to be interested in it and want to succeed in it.

About the lesson

I can do diligent work in providing videos, ppts, worksheets, and regular assessments in coordination with personal doubts clearing along with my online teaching. I use Zoom/Google Meet to teach one-to-one as suitable. I teach according to the student's level and pace of understanding. I use interactive methods with ample emphasis on the application-based problem-solving method.
