As a qualified, licensed teacher with a Bachelor of Arts degree (English, philosophy) and a Bachelor of Education degree, as well as thirty years of classroom teaching, I have the professional credentials, experience, and passion required to successfully tutor students who are interested in improving their English skills.

After a successful career as a high school English teacher, I am interested in tutoring to help students achieve their academic goals. I have done some tutoring since retiring from the classroom. I taught all high school grades (9-12), both in the applied and academic streams. I also taught English as a Second Language. Additionally, I am qualified to teach grades 7 and 8. Lessons will be tailored to the learner’s particular needs. Grammar, essay writing, creative writing, and literary analysis are my areas of expertise.
