About Rhys
I am Rhys Boro (she/he/they), a queer artist born and brought up in a small town from Tezpur, Assam, India. My works mostly consist of interplay between textures using plaster, papier-mâché, acrylics and many other materials I can find useful. I had her first group exhibition at the age of 15 and have been displaying my works at various places like Xubax Raha and Queer Objects 1.0 and many more. I want to share my knowledge of painting because I love painting and hold it dear to my heart and I hope that you too will come to love it as you learn along with me.

I am will be pleased to introduce a curated set of techniques designed to facilitate the creation of textures in your paintings and help you elevate them. By strategically layering paint, progressing from broad strokes to intricate details, you will establish a foundation for visual depth. The application of the brush technique imparting texture suitable for various surfaces. Employing the palette knife that lends your artwork a sculptural quality, particularly effective in rendering abstract compositions with the use of plaster and various other useful materials. These techniques will collectively contribute to an enriched and textured aesthetic in your paintings as a beginner.
